The recently completed London skyscraper ‘The Shard’ which can boast the tallest building in Europe title were on Thursday used by environmental group Greenpeace as a weapon in their campaign against oil company Shell plans to drill in the Arctic. According to Greenpeace sources The Shard were chosen as it is overlooking Shell’s UK headquarters in Waterloo. The six climbers who all were women and of different ages and nationalities unfolded a ‘Save the Arctic banner as they reached the top of the London sky line.
