Ben Goloff.
By Anders Lorenzen
In many parts of the world, a green recovery has been touted as the best way out of the coronavirus. But in the US, the government line is has been quite different, with the Trump administration determined to protect the future of the fossil fuel industry.
To explore this issue in more detail, I caught up with Ben Goloff, a climate campaigner at the Centre for Biological Diversity’s Action Fund.
During the course of our conversation, we discussed the organisation’s priorities in terms of biodiversity and tackling climate change, how they are responding to the US government’s attempted bailout of the fossil industry and how they’re looking to hold elected officials to account. We also touched on the forthcoming US election and how a bailout package would look different under a Biden administration.
